On 21–25 June 2010, Moscow hosted the Neftegaz Trade Fair for the 13th time. This was the third time that the Port of Hamina participated in the trade fair. The Neftegaz trade fair is the largest exhibition event for the oil and gas industries in Russia: this time, it attracted 980 exhibitors, from 35 countries. The trade-fair area consisted of five pavilions and their outdoor areas. In addition to the services offered by the port, our exhibition stand showcased the services of two Hamina-based terminal operators. NEOT and Kimmo Lankinen, as well as Marja Pönkä and Gulja Kiviniemi from Baltic Tank, were there to present the services of their respective companies.
The fair focused on technology. Most of the exhibitors were equipment suppliers, but fair exhibitors included also companies such as Gazprom, represented with a very impressive presence.
At the fair, the port benefited most from its connections with Chinese and Canadian equipment suppliers, and from the opportunity to promote the Finnish cargo route and related expertise in project transportation. Our reference case was the Tengiz oil field project transportation to Kazakhstan. |
